Drysuit Diver
Do you want to make your UK underwater adventures last all year but at the same time remain warm? If your answer to this question is ‘yes,’ then a drysuit is probably for you. In order to make drysuit diving comfortable, safe and fun, use of it requires special techniques which you will be taught during your PADI Drysuit Speciality course.
What does the course consist of?
Knowledge Development: Through homework, a video and the vast knowledge of your Learntodive PADI Instructor you will learn about the following-
- Types of drysuit
- Drysuit use and familiarisation, including buoyancy control and ascent and descent techniques
- Safety Checks
- Drysuit maintenance and care
Skills development: During your confined water session, you will learn how to properly weight yourself, master the use of your suit for buoyancy and control those pesky inversions.
Open Water Dives: You will complete two open water dives, fine-tuning the skills you have learned during your confined open water sessions.

Things to do after you qualify: Go on dive trips
At Wraysbury Dive Centre we organise dive trips both at home in the UK and abroad. Trips are organised for all levels of diver. Just keep an eye on the dive trips page and on our facebook page for upcoming events.
Things to do after you qualify: Buy dive kit
You may have already bought your first dive toys but if you have not, you may be considering making that first purchase. We would always recommend that you purchase your dive equipment from a dive shop rather than shopping online (and its not just because we have a dive shop on site). Buying in person allows you to try things on so that you get the right fit, get the right advice and kit for the type of diving that you intend to do and benefit from the experience of those that actually go diving. You may also end up with a better deal than you imagined.
